That's correct folks, another month gone by. Maybe that's why time flies so quickly when you have children, you are always keeping track, so you are hyper-aware of time. Two whole months old, and the changes are remarkable. I'm not gonna lie, whenever a milestone as such is reached, another week, another month, whatever, I still think to myself "man, I'm glad I'm not in labor right now" haha, I wonder how long that will go on for.

Anyway, back to the little lady. She has been very busy developing and experiencing new things this month. She took her first ride in the stroller, which was not a complete fail anyway. We made it about a block and a half before we had to take her out in and carry her home. Maybe it was getting too dark and she couldn't see well enough...maybe she wants to be able to sit up and not lie down.... maybe a bug was bothering her, who knows. At any rate, it was a start and I have no doubt that in the future our curious little girl may decide she loves the stroller.

She also recently discovered that there is a mirror in the middle of the mobile of her swing. We put her in there usually while we eat breakfast in the morning, and one day she just kept staring up and making faces. It was hilarious, and every once in a while since we find her staring up at herself.

She has also made the discovery that she has a.) a tongue and b.) hands and boy are they both fun to play with. She loves to play games and will stick her tongue out and fully expect you to stick yours out back, in exactly the same way. If she sticks it out a little, you should too, if she sticks it out fast, you should too, and nothing else will do. Her hands can very often be found in her mouth although they don't seem to stay there for too long at any given time. She is making lots of noise these days and having fun doing it, definitely finding her voice. She is grabbing more and more, mostly clothes and hair when she can reach it and yesterday, she held a rattle for the first time. She had no idea what she was doing and just waved it around as if she had nothing in her hand, but it's a start! She generally has no interest in toys and so far the only one to capture her attention at all is a little bug that rattles and has crinkly wings that is meant to hang on a car seat or whatever that we have affectionately named sammy. But she still doesn't try to grab it or anything, just likes to watch it.

Perhaps, no definitely, the best thing to come out of this month are smiles :) She is one happy girl and has the biggest gummy grin you ever saw. It is particularly hard to capture on film since it is either short, or she is moving so much everything is blurry. She kinda smiles with her whole body actually haha, She just gets so excited and you can see the pure joy run through her body. She just makes the best faces. Of course when she is unhappy it's the end of the world and she could die at any moment, but luckily she is happy more often than not.

She has gotten better with naps and on top of it has started sleeping a 7-8 hour stretch most nights which is awesome. We are still working on tummy time lasting for more than a minute, but she is getting better and her neck strength amazes me. Naturally she has also grown a whole lot but I'll save that until we have the official stats at her 2 month check up on Thursday.

And that about sums up Miss Kaida at 2 months. Oh man do we love this girl!
