5 whole months! Our little lady just keeps growing and getting more and more personality. Somehow she is cuter and more grown up every day. This month was a big one. She is more alert every day and is seriously just a big ball of joy. Her strength increases daily and she can now sit up supported and a little on her own, tuck her legs under to lift up her butt when on her belly, and as of Thursday night, roll over both directions! Of course most babies go from tummy to back first but not Kaida! She rolled from her back to her tummy and then just 2 minutes later rolled back onto her back. She was apparently saving it until she could master it.
She loves Waverly and tries to touch/grab him whenever he is near (he handles it very well). She is particularly attached to Mommy right now and is still not sleeping many hours in a row at night, but she seems totally unaffected and is happy as can be. She took her first (and only so far) nap in her crib. She is starting to discover that she can make things happen like throwing her toys and grabbing her mobile on her swing. She's started to laugh more when mommy and daddy do silly things, and she's getting incredibly proficient at picking things up (and putting them into her mouth).
She enjoyed her first Thanksgiving holiday with the families but was clearly very happy to be home, a place that she recognizes. She was so good while traveling and happy to see everyone although she did have some sleeping trouble being in a strange place. It is amazing how much different it is to travel with her than it was even in the beginning of October. It sure is easier now that she can be distracted by things!
All in all it was a good month. She is pretty great and we love watching her change :) Hard to believe by the time her next month is past, she will be half a year old and we will be into a new year!
