Meet Sophie
Here is Kaida with her buddy Sophie, the giraffe. They love each other very much....actually I suspect it is a bit one-sided. Sophie is an awesome teething toy that is just the right size and shape for plenty of chewing and sucking on. Kaida can even prop her up sometime so she doesn't have to hold on to her. Smart or Lazy?

4 Month Stats
A visit to the pediatrician yesterday proved what we already knew, our little girl is happy, healthy and growing :)
Miss Kaida now weighs 13lbs 12oz (right about average) and is 25" long (above average). We have a string bean on our hands! She is doing just right for her age and the doctor says everything looks good. We are a bit skeptical about the weight measurement since the nurse started weighing her and she peed on the table so a quick cleanup ensued and we don't think she ever finished adjusting the scale haha, but either way, it's all good. She also had a great time playing with the paper on the exam table and crinkling it and putting it in her mouth. As soon as she was used to where she was she just started talking and shrieking up a storm, it was hilarious! She still hates shots and screams bloody murder, but who can blame her? After a cranky day yesterday she seems to be fine now, enjoying her playtime on the floor, talking away, grabbing and chomping on her toys. So now we are good to go until her 6 month appointment in January.
Anyway, that's it for now. We'll be back with a picture as soon as we get the camera hooked up to the computer again :)

Our little lady is now 1/3 of a year old! She is growing and developing at a ridiculous rate, and our estimate is that she grew about 1.5 inches in less than 3 weeks, but we'll get the official word on that next week when we go to the doctor.
Anyway, in the past month, Kaida has:
-Discovered her feet! They are apparently delicious
-Gotten much better neck control and started lifting her head a full 90 degrees on her tummy
-Started reaching and picking up toys around her
-We think started teething...we can see the little suckers moving down
-Stopped sleeping well, possibly due to the aforementioned teething
-Gone to a funeral, the pumpkin patch, went on her first quilt-shop-hop, carved a pumpkin (well watched anyway) and celebrated her first halloween
-Learned how to roll up on to her side and scoot herself around
-Realized there are toys hanging from her bouncer and that she can grab them
-Started just fitting into her smaller 6-9/6-12 month clothes
-Has finally noticed Waverly...and grabbed his fur a few times
-Figured out how to blow bubbles and raspberries
-Started smiling at herself in the mirror
She continues to be very alert and loves going new places and seeing new people. She is generally just such a happy, wonderful baby.
And with that we leave you with some pictures of the previously mentioned events
mmmm feet...
