A Great Man
To a man who taught me to appreciate life and be grateful...
To a man who led by example...
To a man full of love...
To a man who lived life to the fullest for all of his 86 years...
To a man who always had a hug and a story...
To a man who loved all 4 of his children, 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren...
To a man whose positive outlook helped me through the toughest times, just as I'm sure it helped him...
To a man who was the greatest kind of man, Thank You! You will be missed Grandpop, I love you.

Another month! And Kaida just keeps growing and developing (which is a good thing).
This month she really discovered her hands. She loves sucking on them and has even gotten to a bit of thumbsucking. Of course, she has also begun to grab things, which means that more than sucking on her own hands she loves sucking on other people's hands. Holding on to her, I know that it won't be long before she grabs my hand and pulls it to her mouth. She's even discovered toys. She has a favorite plastic crab toy that she loves to hold, shake, and put in her mouth. A long way from the girl who didn't seem to have any interest in the world around her. Yet, she still doesn't seem to have noticed Waverly, even when he's sniffing her face.
She's also gotten to the point of not liking to be wrapped up--she will not be confined!!! As a result, we've started using the stroller when we go for walks. She loves how much she can see the world.
[She looks thrilled!]And on top of it all, she attended her first wedding on October 1st, where she was loved by all. More importantly, she was insanely well behaved. She had long days and spent most of those days calmly watching everything that was going on. Her fussiness, of course, was completely confined to the actual wedding ceremony where she had to politely leave the church (where she was, again, of course, happy as could be). We're so proud to have such a happy, contented baby.
